Hirt Psychology does not accept insurance. However, that does not necessarily mean that you
cannot receive “out of network benefits” from your insurance company. You can determine
this by calling your insurance company’s member services number to find out if your specific
plan provides reimbursement for out of network mental health services.

CPT Codes that are commonly used at our office are 90837, 90834, 90832, 90846, and 90847.
Please be sure to confirm that these codes are accepted to ensure that you will receive
reimbursement.

It is rare for insurance companies to provide full reimbursement for services. It is more
common for them to provide partial reimbursement (a percentage of coverage). OF NOTE: It
will be important to know how much they will reimburse per session. If they say that they will
cover 80%, it is only 80 % of what they deem reasonable. So, if Hirt Psychology charges $200
and the insurance company says they will cover 80 % it does not necessarily mean they will
reimburse you $160. Rather, it means that they will reimburse you 80% of what they deem
reasonable. If they deem $100 reasonable then they will reimburse $80, which means that of
the $200 charge you will be paying $120 “out of pocket”. Again, this is highly dependent on
your insurance coverage, which needs to be verified by you.

What this means is that payment for our fee is paid to us at the time that the services are
provided. Upon your request, we will then provide you with a superbill (documentation for
insurance company) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
