Carrie Olsen, LCSW, CIMHP
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Carrie Olsen is a therapist with years of experience working most extensively with anxiety, depression, and trauma. In her work with clients, she uses a holistic, integrated approach to help connect both mind and body. Carrie's primary treatment modality is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop healthy coping skills and understand how to better manage emotions, however she also draws from other theoretical models and frameworks including the Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Motivational Interviewing. She has a passion for working with people who are ready to work on themselves, and her goal as a practitioner is to give you concrete skills and tools that you can use when you leave your sessions to move you out of being "stuck" and towards the life you were meant to live.

Carrie has been providing mental health care since 2012 and graduated with her Master’s in Social Work in 2015. She recently completed training to become a Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner and is training to become a certified yoga teacher. In addition to her work with Hirt Psychology, she serves as a part-time faculty member at Kennesaw State University.
