As a therapist Ashleigh excels in building strong therapeutic alliances and rapport with the children and teens she sees. Ashleigh’s experience includes addressing the following issues in children and teens: anxiety, depression, peer and self-esteem issues, and behavioral concerns. Other specialties include working with individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as treating trauma. Ashleigh is also well-versed in assisting adolescents and families with addressing suicidality and self-harming behaviors.
Ashleigh has training in play therapy and Trust-Based Relational Intervention. She approaches treatment with a strength-based perspective in order to empower the client to reach their goals with purposeful outcomes. She uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help individuals understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while providing skills to better cope.
Ashleigh has been providing mental health care since 2017 and graduated with her Master’s in Social Work in 2020. In her free time, she loves spending time with her animals, hiking, traveling, and being with loved ones.
